Chris Burfeind

Chris Burfeind is passionate and invested in working diligently and creatively to produce a product and solution that the user, client, and he are all proud of! As a mechanical engineer at Synapse since 2016, Chris has been partnering with leading companies to design and realize their next game-changing technology. Whether it is through zero UI, virtual reality hardware, connected ecosystems, or optics integration, Chris is ready to push the boundaries of what’s possible, while paying respect to engineering strongholds that deliver robust products.

Chris earned a BS in Mechanical Engineering from the University of Washington, where he was a critical member of a small bioengineering research team developing methods for analyzing and transporting intact tissue core biopsies with fluid transport and 3D imaging, for which Chris is listed on a patent.

Weaving within his engineering and personal interactions, Chris is dedicated to impact society and break social, economical, and racial barriers by coaching, and building relationships. For over eight years, as the Head Coach or Program Director, Chris has led Street Soccer Seattle in their mission to empower homeless adults through soccer.
